Waste Water

The Rugged Connect system is an American Made integrated control, monitoring and communications package, for water and wastewater applications. This world class system was purpose built “from the ground to the cloud” as a complete control and monitoring solution.

Rugged Connect has superior logic for pump stations, chlorine booster stations, well level monitoring and flow monitoring applications.  It gathers information from your sensors, including level, pressure, flow, pump current, turbidity and chlorine.  It controls pumps locally and reports status such as run time, amp draw and alarms to the cloud.

Changes can be made through your smartphone, PC, or directly, with the intuitive 7" touch-screen interface. Rugged Telemetry's CloudiQ provides you with complete summaries of all of your systems and easy connection to any Rugged Connect system.

Built on decades of experience, we listened and learned from our customers. We combined this knowledge in the design and operational characteristics. High quality for long lasting durability.

Advantages of a Smart Lift Station Controller for Wastewater Management

Efficient wastewater management is crucial for sustainable urban development and environmental preservation. Smart lift station controllers play a pivotal role in optimizing the operation of wastewater systems, offering numerous advantages over traditional methods. Here are some key benefits:

  • Real-time Monitoring and Control: Smart lift station controllers provide real-time monitoring of key parameters such as flow rates, levels, and pump status. This allows operators to quickly identify issues and remotely adjust settings for optimal performance, reducing the risk of overflow or system failures.

  • Data-driven Insights: By collecting and analyzing data from sensors and other sources, smart controllers offer valuable insights into system behavior and performance trends. This data can be used to identify inefficiencies, predict maintenance needs, and optimize operational strategies, leading to cost savings and improved reliability.

  • Remote Access and Control: With smart controllers, operators can remotely access and control lift station operations from anywhere with an internet connection. This enables rapid response to alarms or emergencies, as well as the ability to adjust settings and monitor performance without the need for on-site visits, saving time and resources.

  • Energy Efficiency: Smart controllers can optimize pump scheduling and operation based on real-time demand and system conditions, minimizing energy consumption and reducing utility costs. By avoiding unnecessary pump cycling and ensuring pumps operate at their most efficient levels, energy usage can be significantly reduced without compromising performance.

  • Predictive Maintenance: Through continuous monitoring and analysis of equipment condition and performance, smart controllers can predict potential failures or maintenance needs before they occur. By addressing issues proactively, downtime and repair costs are minimized, and the lifespan of equipment is extended, improving overall system reliability and reducing operational disruptions.

  • Integration and Scalability: Smart lift station controllers can be integrated with existing SCADA systems, telemetry networks, and other infrastructure components, allowing for seamless communication and coordination across the entire wastewater management system. Additionally, these controllers are often scalable, allowing for easy expansion or upgrades as system requirements evolve over time.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Smart controllers facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements by providing accurate and timely data for reporting purposes. Automated data logging and reporting features streamline the process of documenting system performance and adherence to regulatory standards, reducing administrative burdens and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

In conclusion, smart lift station controllers offer a wide range of advantages for wastewater management, including improved operational efficiency, reduced maintenance costs, enhanced reliability, and better compliance with regulatory requirements. By leveraging advanced monitoring, control, and analytics capabilities, these controllers play a critical role in optimizing the performance and sustainability of wastewater systems.
